Here's everything:

We teach you how to learn.

Our Experiential Learning Process uses coaching, workshops, and real-world projects to provide a supported, self-directed approach that will empower you on your educational journey.

Experiential Learning Process

Unlike traditional learning methods, our Experiential Learning Process gives you a framework to explore your interests and apply your learning through real-world problem solving. Mastering this process, along with the habits, mindsets, and skills that you’ll learn along the way, will give you valuable skills that are a prerequisite for success in life.

Exploration

Explore your interests. Discover what motivates you. Develop the confidence to pursue what you care about.

Look inwardly to identify your values, curiosities, and skills. Then look outside yourself to find fields, projects, and skills that make you excited to learn. Live independently abroad and work with mentors and coaches to cut through the noise of “what I should do” to find “what I want to do.” Filter through your many interests by taking action on each one to see what sticks and what gets left behind. Experiment with new things, talk to professionals and practitioners in your field, join communities, and take on real world projects.

WHAT YOU'LL GAIN

  • Effective work habits and time management skills
  • A nuanced understanding of a field of interest
  • Enthusiasm for pursuing a specific field or subject

Learning

Dive deeper into your interests. Practice, practice, practice. Problem solve and overcome obstacles.

Master the science of learning—begin to think of your brain as a muscle that learns through effort. Develop a growth mindset, and learn how to apply deliberate practice principles. Discover what you don’t know and figure out how to know it. Learn how to sequence your learning and how to find help.

What You’ll Gain

  • Understand how to organize and systematically approach learning difficult subjects
  • Learn how to continue to set the bar higher for your work and capabilities
  • Shift from a fixed to a growth mindset
  • Discover and learn how to apply deliberate practice principles

Creation

Learn by doing. Be comfortable failing. Bring your ideas to life. Become gritty. Develop self-efficacy.

Once you’ve discovered what motivates you, you’ll take on projects that make you stretch. Whether it’s producing music, managing a marketing campaign, or anything in between, you’ll feel a sense of accomplishment when you complete it. You’ll take on increasingly challenging projects to push your capabilities. You’ll display your completed projects in a portfolio of your own creation.

What You'll Gain

  • A portfolio of completed projects
  • A new level of competency in a particular skill
  • Completion of an ambitious long-term project
  • Improved organization and productivity

Self-Advocacy

Learn how to speak from a place of authenticity and vulnerability. Develop confidence and self-esteem.

Rather than following the “fake it ‘til you make it” mantra, we help you draw confidence from a place of authenticity. We encourage you to promote your strengths and to be comfortable acknowledging where you need to grow. We help you overcome fear of rejection, build confidence, and learn strategies to find audiences for your work in ways that the market will reward. Weekly Friday Review sessions provide a safe space to practice vulnerability and explore social-emotional learning.

What You'll Gain

  • Willingness to ask when the answer might be no
  • Confidence in yourself and your work
  • A sense of belonging
  • Increased self-esteem

A Personal Coach to help you every step of the way.

Your personal coach will be there for you throughout the program. Coaches help set long-term goals and break them into actionable chunks. Coaches take a holistic approach, helping develop work habits, mindset, and wellbeing. Most importantly, coaches help push you and provide continuous feedback on your growth and learning.
